One of the other fellows lived nearby in a partially completed self-project affectionately referred
to as 'Fraggle Rock' since richly red Australian field-stone comprised most of the completed structure.
We drank, and ate exquisite abalone, and drank some more. Around about Midnight we packed up, along
with some neighbour kids, and went 'fishing'.
The 'fishing' gear consisted of a net and a 6-volt
battery wired to the headlamp mounted at the end of a meter long rod. The idea is to walk along the
shoreline with the headlamp plunged into the ocean illuminating whatever wildlife comes your way. The
guy next to you, with the net, attempts to scoop up whatever he sees.
