We're already 5,000 feet above sea level here. We will shortly climb up the Kaibab Plateau (part of
the enormous Colorado Plateau stretching across four states), in the distance to the right in the photograph,
from which the Grand Canyon's North Rim is cut. It reaches an elevation over 8,000 feet.
