The woman lying prone spent all day circling this stupa. No, she's not resting. After the briefest
of pauses, she will pull herself to her knees, rise to standing, reach to the sky, and then, once again,
fall to her knees, stretch out prone and touch her forehead to the concrete walkway. Again and again.
All day long. Round and round the stupa. On her hands, wooden shoe soles clatter with every rising,
every pronation. A thick apron protects knees and clothing. Round and round. Clockwise round. Dedication.
