Typical of the Malaysian culture, this hillside compound became home to Buddhist
temples constructed by both Chinese Taoists and Thai Therevadans. The tower to the right, typical of
Chinese temples, is unheard of within Therevadan traditions which erect Phrangs and Stupas. The Thai
structures are 'towers' in a sense except they cannot be climbed, as we paid 5 Ringitt to do here, about
$2.50 CDN.
