A kiva is a ceremonial room, round as you can see. Imagine a flat roof at the level of the top of the
wall, and that notch in the far wall is the only entrance. There are four pillars supporting the roof,
one of which fits in the little round hole in the foreground. This photo is of one of Chetro Ketls'
two (I think) great kivas.
