Looks a little like those sand castles you built as a kid at the beach; like dribbles of soupy sand
dripped from fingertips. The difference here is the dribbles contain grasses for strength, forming
hollow chambers.
I wonder if there's a good business for maps: how does anything find its way
around in such an enormous labyrinthe? Remember, passages extend from beneath the mound a couple feet
(where you'll find the queen) out a couple tens of meters or more to the surrounding trees.
